2011 brought many highs and lows to the publishing industry. There was the deaths of a few wonderful writers, the folding of a great brick and mortar giant and, on the up side, releases of some of the best books we’ve read in a very long time. Selfishly, we loved 2011 because it brought LitStack out of cogs of a few twisted minds and released her, warts and all, to the masses.

This week’s Staff Pick concerns the triumphs and heartbreak in 2011. We hope you enjoyed the year as much as we did and we want to hear about your most memorable literary moments in 2011.
