Our Favorite Timeless Plots

Fairy Tales

I can definitively say that my favorite timeless stories are fairy tales. I love fairy tale adaptations, like Juliet Marillier’s “Heart’s Blood” which re-tells Beauty and the Beast, or Orson Scott Card’s “Enchantment” which is a different take on Sleeping Beauty. Something about seeing those tales re-imagined in the present, or with more color and depth in the past, is so exciting and fun for me. It’s like the most respected form of fan fiction, and it’s actually accepted by the masses. And when it’s brilliantly executed it makes for some of my favorite fiction.
