Writers, your inspiration this week is this lovely image from photographer and writer Chris Galvin, who divides her time between Canada and Viet Nam. When not taking pictures or writing, she’s probably either in the garden, the kitchen, or the middle of a good book.

Let your imagination take you where it will, and post your story – about 500 words or fewer – on your blog or tumblr or someplace you’d like the rest of us to visit. Drop a link in the comments here, and head off to visit other participants’ posts. As usual, we’ll include a roundup of entries with the next challenge. All are welcome, and it’s all friendly, so be bold and jump right on in!

If you would like to be a guest photographer for an upcoming writing prompt, please comment below with your contact info & we’ll get in touch.

Happy writing!
