Great Literary Vacation Destinations
Various Writers: Edinburgh, Scotland
Edinburgh has long been a haven for wordsmiths. Famous residents have included the poet Robert Burns and Robert Louis Stevenson (Kidnapped, Treasure Island), and more recently Irvine Welsh and JK Rowling.
The city hosts the Edinburgh International Book Festival every year and it has been designated a UNESCO City of Literature.
This reminds me of the book Seeds, by Richard Horan, that I reviewed on LitStack in 2011. https://litstack.com/seeds/
Great piece! I was planning a journey of my own and recently came across your piece. During my research I also came across this resource, extremely informative http://www.travelzoo.com/uk/blog/literary-britain-unlocked/
