Great Literary Vacation Destinations

Tennessee Williams/Anne Rice: New Orleans, Latenn

The Big Easy is much more than a party city. Sure, you can grab a Hurricane from Pat O’s and eat some of the most delicious (and fattening) food in the world, but as one of the country’s oldest cities, you can also partake in the lush and layered history. Tennessee Williams and Anne Rice both called New Orleans home and their influence is felt in festivals, (the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival is one of our favorites), and some pretty spooky vampire and ghost tours that recall the spots were some of the coolest film adaptations took place.
