Books That Should Be Films By Now
Just like you, we love a great film and while it’s no secret that we are obsessed with books, we find it interesting when the film industry embraces our favorite books and adapts them for the screen. But sometimes we have to wonder why some our most beloved books have yet to made into films.
Here are just a few of the books we think should be films by now. What are yours? We want to hear from you, LitStackers!
H. Beam Piper’s Paratime on the big screen, please! Anything from “Police Operation” to “Lord Kalvan of Otherwhen.” Or his Terro-Human Future history, “Ullr Uprising” or “Little Fuzzy” (the original, not the reboot). Sam Elliot would make a superb Jack Holloway!
And while we’re at it, when did The Man of Bronze *ever* get a serious big screen makeover? How about a gritter Shadow?
David Eddings’ “The Belgariad” and “The Malloreon” series (would make for great television)
“Vickers (Corp*s*e)” and “The Long Orbit” by Mick Farren
Steve Perry’s “Matador” Series
David Weber’s “Honor Harrington” series
The list goes on and on.
Paul, these are great, great choices. I wholeheartedly agree!
