Somewhere between the end of the Potter series and the finale of Twilight, young adult readers grew up. In doing so, many became college bound. Their interests shifted, their priorities changed and from this growth, a new genre was born: New Adult.
Books in this relatively new genre skirt the bridge between adolescence and adulthood, where liquor flows, college courses frustrate and the sexual awakening of these burgeoning adults becomes of significant import and, in some cases, impact their futures.
The genre has also made New York Times Best Sellers out of several of its writers, propelling them into financial security.
The following showcases the best New Adult titles we’ve come across in the past few months. Be sure to tell us about your favorites in the comments below!
