Fallback Fiction – The books we never, ever tire of reading

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Reading is one of those necessary activities in my life. If I haven’t been able to get to the library or borrow a bestseller from a friend, I almost always end up with Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird in hand. An important message told in a voice that remains in your subconscious for days, it is the literary equivalent of putting a cool compress on a bad headache, and should be required reading for anyone in a bad mood.

Bryan, I've only read it once, but I, too, love King's On Writing.

Ditto…the book is worth the read for the diatribe against adverbs alone!
