Labor Day usually marks the end of summer and the return to bells, books and professions that Algebra will never, ever be used in life! It’s back to school time for most of the country and when we think about our time in school, particularly in those formative years when our minds were eager and expanded, we think about the books that shaped our love of reading.
These are the books that our favorite teachers gave us. These are the books given to us during a time of curiosity and wonder that opened the doors to what would become our love of the written word.
This week’s pick concerns all those books, teachers and experiences that we mark back to our childhoods, to the beginning of our love affair with stories. They remind us of our school days.
What about you, LitStackers? Do you have favorite books that remind you of your school days? We want to hear from you!
