Throughout the week Harrison teased the cover on her blog and today she gave her readers a glimpse at the 12th novel in the beloved series. She also announced plans to reread the series with her fans:
I’m going to do a read-along over the next couple of months. Even if you don’t read with us, don’t feel like you can’t join in on the discussion as we tackle each book at a time. I’ll be here at the blog like I always am, but there will be one dedicated day where I’ll focus more strongly on one or two questions that you might have. I’ll be opening a discussion page on Dead Witch Walking Monday. We’ll be starting The Good, The Bad, and The Undead October 15, so this will be fairly fast paced.
The Undead Pool is the second-to-last in Harrison’s popular series and follows protagonist Rachel Morgan, a day walking demon.
Witch and day-walking demon Rachel Morgan has managed to save the demonic ever after from shrinking, but at a high cost. Now strange magic is attacking Cincinnati and the Hollows, causing spells to backfire or go horribly wrong, and the truce between the races, between Inderlander and human, is shattering.
Rachel must stop the occurrences before the undead vampire masters who keep the rest of the undead under control are lost and it becomes all-out supernatural war. However, the only way to do so is through the ancient elven wild magic, which carries its own perils
Be sure to head over to Harrison’s blog to read the first chapter.
