Female Writers Who Changed History

Yesterday, The Huffington Post published a great piece on 10 Legendary Bad Boy Authors. While we appreciate the post and the talented men featured, we thought we’d discuss a few female writers who aren’t only talented, but who changed history. From Harriet Beecher Stowe and her graphic depiction of slavery in the south to Ayn Rand and her works that aimed to emphasize the utter necessity of individual equality, the ladies on this list had a lot to say and made sure everyone listened.

What do you think, LitStackers? We want to hear from you!

Incidentally, there is currently an initiative in place to raise money to erect a National Women’s History Museum. If you are interested in supporting this cause, jump to this link.
