Tor’s Joseph Nassise wrote a great piece about those literary characters that left us tossing books across the room and generally enjoying our anger. Among those notable characters that  ” get under the skin and into the blood, that work their way to your heart with means both mysterious and powerful, making them irresistible along the way…the type of characters that, in the end, we remember long after the story is done” are: Captain Ahab, Gollum, Holden Caulfield and Professor Moriarty.

My personal favorite villain I love to hate? You have to ask? Voldemort, of course.
