Chronicle of a Death Foretold…or not.

According to HuffPo, news of Marquez’s death has been spreading amongst Twitter users.

The news initially was spread by a user caller himself Umberto Eco (no, not the real one).

However, Jaime Abello Banfi, the director of the Gabriel García Márquez Foundation for New Journalism tweeted  the story was a hoax and asked that Twitter followers not to believe the rumors.
